Trying new foods is an experience that I always enjoy. Universal Yums makes it easy by delivering food from a different country right at my doorstep every month. Keep reading to see the results of my family's taste test.
Pepperoni Cracker Puffs
Everyone liked this snack except for my youngest son. For the record, he is not a fan of pizza. While everyone thought it tasted like pizza, no one really could taste the pepperoni. I should point out, however, none of us have eaten pepperoni in years so that may be why we aren't recognizing the flavor.
Brazilian Sweet Popcorn
My oldest son liked this snack more than the rest of us. No one disliked it but it definitely was not a favorite. Like I said during the taste test video, it reminded everyone of Pops breakfast cereal.
Fruity Yogurt Sticks
Everyone liked these sweet, fruity yogurt sticks. Because of the chewy texture, my boys thought it was taffy.
Soft Peanut Candy
This was my husband's favorite item in the Brazil box. My youngest son and I liked it but it wasn't our favorite. Because of a dislike of peanut butter, my oldest did not like the candy at all.
If food crumbs are something you enjoy cleaning up, then the peanut candy is for you. This snack falls apart at the slightest touch. I found it hard to eat. You had to pour it into your mouth from the bag. All this said, I'm still glad I got the chance to taste this treat.
Brazilian Chocolate Birthday Cake
Who doesn't love birthday cake? Both of my boys chose this as their favorite Brazilian snack item. It's chocolate. It's cake. My husband and I liked it too.
White Chocolate Passionfruit Bites
This is my favorite snack. It's not too sweet and it has a slight crunch. You can taste a distinct passionfruit flavor. My husband liked it. Neither of my boys liked it.
