Universal Yums Review: The Box
This box is covered in tape. When I say “covered”, I mean almost every surface has tape. One of the side flaps stuck out. I hoped the products were intact and nothing fell out in transit.
I see why the side flap is sticking out. This box wasn't put together properly. On first glance, it appears all of the products are still in the box.

Brets Potato Chips
Brets potato chips do not taste bad but they don't taste good either. The Andalusian Sauce flavor reminds me of ketchup. If you like ketchup, then you may like these potato chips. On a positive note, they have a nice crispy texture that you would expect from a potato chip.
Nobody in my family enjoyed the taste of these chips enough to eat more than one.
Vondelmolen Cranberry Rye Cake
The Cranberry Rye Cake is moist with a bread like texture. You can see the pieces of fruit throughout the cake. Universal Yums says this is a breakfast treat in Belgium. After tasting, I can understand why. Cranberry flavor fills your mouth with each bite. I did not taste the rye.
I was the only one who enjoyed the Cranberry Rye Cake. Everyone else thought the cranberry flavor was overpowering. It's not something I would want to eat for breakfast by itself. I would something a little more substantial to go with it.
Noble Foods Gouda Cheese & Ham Snack
This snack smells and tastes like ham. The texture is somewhere between a cracker and puffed cheese. Everyone enjoyed this savory snack and its very rich flavor.
The crackers are broken into crumbs; therefore, I did not photograph. Based on what I can see, the picture on the bag is a good representation.
Cachet Raspberry Ganache with Dark Chocolate
If you like dark chocolate, you will like the raspberry ganache filled chocolate bar. There is only a very faint raspberry flavor in the ganache.
I am the only one who likes dark chocolate in my family; therefore, I was the only one who enjoyed it.
Gicopa Violet Gummie Candy
The violet gummies are a cross between a gummie and jelly candy. The texture is nice with a slight crunch from the sugar coating. You first taste a grape-like flavor, then distinct flower notes creep in. It is like having perfume in your mouth but in a good way.
I like the violet gummies. No one else in my family liked them.
Belgian Creme Brulee Chocolate Bonbons
Creamy milk chocolate and a milky creme brulee center make these bonbons delicious. The bonbons are sweet but not overpowering.
Everyone liked the bonbons. These Belgian chocolates won the taste test. We wish we had more to enjoy.
